Born in Boston, USA, 1948. Living and working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in Finland. Langenbach 'performs theory', focusing on cognitive phenomena and propaganda. Artist and teacher whose video works, installations and performances, as expressions of cultural theory dealing with propaganda and contemporary art, have been presented in the Singapore Film Festival and the Philippines Film Festival and also in museums in Australia, Germany, India, Korea, and the USA. His dissertation Performing the Singapore State: 1988-1995 historicizes a series of important performance art events in the mid-1990s in Singapore. Also teaching at the Kuvataideakatemia (Finnish Academy of Fine Arts) since 2007. See also the website of Langenbach.
